Better Choices, Better Health Online

This program, is the online version of the internationally recognized Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, developed and tested at the Stanford University Patient Education Centre.
This is a free, six-session, asynchronous web-based program offered on a dedicated website that meets government privacy requirements. It is open to BC adults of all ages living with one or more ongoing health conditions.
A computer and internet connection are required; no web-cams needed; and participants do not need to be online at the same time.

We’ll introduce you to wellness practices that may be new to you or that may build on your current practices. Our materials are provided in a variety of mediums that include videos, animations, brochures, e-books, face-to-face training programs, and online training programs. Our materials are specifically designed to meet the needs of children, youth, young adults, families, educators, community agencies and health care providers.

HelpGuide has grown from a small local project at the Rotary Club of Santa Monica to an independent, internationally recognized mental health and wellness nonprofit that helps millions each month. Through it all, our mission has remained the same: to provide empowering, evidence-based information that you can use to help yourself and your loved ones.

As more information becomes available, we will continue to update DrugSafe to reflect the growing drug-related concerns affecting Albertans. We will help you consider the risks of drugs if you are contemplating using, reduce the potential harm if you choose to use and help those in your life who may be using. We will do this with a key goal of reducing harm.
